These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the SitesMap app (“the app”, “the service”). By installing or using the app, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Acceptance of terms
Using the app means you accept these Terms together with our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms; the new version takes effect once published.
2. License to use
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to install and use the app for lawful purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute or resell the app without written permission.
3. Accounts
- You can use many core features without an account.
- To use group features and sync, you need to sign in with email or Google.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- Please provide accurate information and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. User content
You retain full ownership of the data you create (points, photos, logs, notes). When you sync or share within a group, you grant us the rights necessary to store, back up and display that content to the members you share with, in order to operate the service.
You represent that the content you upload:
- Does not violate the law or the rights of third parties.
- Contains no malware, fraudulent or offensive content.
- Is content you have the right to upload and share.
5. Acceptable use
When using the app, you agree not to:
- Use the app for unlawful or harmful purposes.
- Interfere with, damage, or attempt unauthorized access to our systems.
- Collect other users' data without permission.
- Abuse the infrastructure (e.g. excessive requests causing overload).
6. Third-party services
The app relies on several third-party services to function — including map providers (Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, Esri, USGS, Sentinel), server infrastructure (Supabase), Google sign-in and AI providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the content or operation of third parties.
7. Updates & service changes
We may release updates, add or remove features, or suspend the service at any time to improve the app. Some updates may be required to continue using the app.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that map/location data is always perfectly accurate. You use the app at your own risk when making decisions based on the data in it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages (including data loss or lost profits) arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. We recommend regularly backing up important data.
10. Termination
You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, terms that by their nature should survive (such as content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Vietnam. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
